- The TomTom Navigation app requires a GPS signal. 4G-enabled iPads, iPhone 3 and later models have an internal GPS receiver. Users of non-3G iPads and iPod touch 5th gen and later models will require an external GPS receiver. The original iPhone, iPhone 3G/GS, original iPad, original iPod touch and iPod touch 2nd/3rd/4th gen are not supported.
- Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
- Photos can only be used for navigation if you have enabled Location Services in the Camera application.

Tried many apps. Nothing tops this one. Pure class and quality.
For even the simplest routes, Tom Tom sends you in the wrong directions. Utterly useless.
This used to be a great app until they made Facebook the default search engine for route planning when you do not know the address. Good grief! Who in their right mind uses FB to locate a POI in a GPS app? It appears that Tom Tom has lost focus on what their app for. I can choose the colors, I can choose the voice, I can choose the car symbol (all of which are nice, but trivial) but I cannot choose critical app functionally. I hope they fix this soon.
I purchased this map because my fiancé and I are going to Japan for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, the details of this app did not describe as to what country is included-- so, my $50+tax went down the drain as to no refund can be made. I figured Japan would be included since its practically at the border of South East Asia -_-; I guessed wrong. I have the TomTom for USA & Canada, and I absolutely LOVE it. Not this one, per say, since Japan is not included (the reasoning is to why I didnt gave it a poor score). The following countries are provided in this map; Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Republic of The Philippines, Singapore, State of Brunei, and Thailand. Im sure I will have some use for it if I ever decide to visit my birth country, Hong Kong-- so, I guess its not so bad...
My neighborhood in Thailand was built in the mid-90s. 20 years ago! But its not on the map. They need a serious map update. This is embarrassing and the worst part is there is no method for me to get a refund. Wasted a lot of money on this app.
